THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Parish Restaurant Review:

Chef Casey Lane has won over many a diner at his daily changing, seasonally driven Venice restaurant, The Tasting Kitchen. With The Parish, he has taken a different direction, focusing on the rich foods of the United Kingdom, to embody a hearty gastropub. The entrance is somewhat confusing to navigate, as the first floor is an all-day coffee shop selling pastries. Once you speak with the hostess, she will lead you up the flight of stairs to the dim second-floor dining room filled with dark woods, vintage posters of Los Angeles, and a noticeable theme of roosters. The beautiful oak bar is really the optimal dining space, with the best view of the bartenders crafting drinks like the boozy and dry “Sure Shot” made with Amontillado sherry, rum, orange curaçao and strawberry. Bone marrow is one of Lane's signatures, roasted and topped with a celery salad and accompanied by grilled bread. Octopus is served on a salad of beets, carrots and fried chickpeas, while classic rotisserie chicken is paired with bread salad with mustard greens. There is an impressive selection of artisan beers, in addition to a few international wines.
