Openings

Chef Christophe Saintagne quit Le Meurice to open his own restaurant, Papillon, in the 17th arrondissement. Papillon, 8, rue Messonier, 75017 Paris, +33 (0)1 56 79 81 88.
 
Champeaux from Alain Ducasse opened on April 11, 2016, and is located under the Canopée in the new Forum des Halles. It boasts a contemporary setting with immense bay windows. A huge board modeled after those noting arrivals and departures that used to bedeck airports displays the menu. Snails, oysters, sausages, tartares and soufflés are prepared by Bruno Brangea, former chef of Marius et Janette. Champeaux, Forum des Halles, 75001 Paris, 01 53 45 84 50.

Emporio Armani Caffe Refurbishment
Emporio Armani Caffe, a posh Italian restaurant in Saint-Germain des Prés, is currently facing refurbishment. Due to reopen in June 2016, it will feature a more cozy setting. Customers will enjoy a specific dining experience, either at the trattoria or the fine dining spot. Emporio Armani Caffe, 149, bd Saint-Germain, 75006 Paris, 01 45 48 62 15.
 


Chef Shuffle
Succeeding Alain Senderens, chef Guy Savoy now oversees the menu of the restaurant Mama Shelter. His signature dishes include the saucisson de Lyon with pistachio and brioche and the bread-crumbed tuna with tonkatsu sauce. Lunch menus at €21 and €26. Philippe Labbé, former chef of L’Abeille and L’Arnsbourg, succeeds Laurent Delarbre at the helm of the kitchen of La Tour d'Argent, the ritzy restaurant that overlooks the Seine and the Notre-Dame cathedral. La Tour d'Argent, 15-17, quai de la Tournelle, Paris 75005, 01 43 54 23 31.
