Openings

David Bizet, chef of La Galerie at Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris, will helm another gastronomic spot in the dwelling. Opening on June 6, 2016, L’Orangerie will seat 20 people in the historic courtyard of the hotel under a metallic framework. Expect sea bass carpaccio and poultry with asparagus and morilla mushrooms among other items. Menu at €95. L'Orangerie, Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris 31, av. Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, owner of numerous restaurants worldwide, including Nobu in New York and Malibu, launched his unique Parisian establishment, named Matsuhisa, in Le Royal Monceau - Raffles Paris. Matsuhisa, Le Royal Monceau - Raffles Paris 37, av. Hoche, 75008 Paris, 01 42 99 88 00.

Publicis Drugstore Brasserie to Renew Concept
Eric Frechon (Hôtel Le Bristol) has been appointed to renew the concept of the Publicis Drugstore Brasserie. Open 7 days a week until 2 a.m. at the top of the Champs-Elysées, the establishment should boast a new atmosphere and menu by the end of 2016. New Look for Le Meurice
The dining room of the restaurant Le Meurice, modeled after the Salon de la Paix in the Palace of Versailles, has been embellished by designer Philippe Starck. Rose copper fixtures and black screens embedded with photographs coexist with old mirrors and paintings and the huge fresco spread on the ceiling. Moreover, previously at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in London, Jocelyn Herland has been the new executive chef of the hotel since January. Chef Shuffle
Bernard Magrez, French wine mogul and owner of the restaurant La Grande Maison in Bordeaux, recently fell out with his partner and chef Joël Robuchon. As a consequence, Robuchon has left the restaurant with his stalwart Tomonori Danzaki. Pierre Gagnaire has succeeded him, along with his second Jean-Denis Le Bras, formerly at Pierre in the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong.
