Park Ave Restaurant Review:

Fortunately for some and unfortunately for others, this eclectic bistro is located in Stanton. But don’t let the drive keep you from making this place a regular destination in your fine dining repertoire. Chef-partner David Slay created the interior of this Googie-inspired building; it looks like a post-modern museum of cosmo-intelligence and down-home comfort. Slay’s dishes all seem to have an American component, whether it's corn fritters, Granny Smith apples, New England maple ham or Vermont cheddar. Start with an old-fashioned cocktail, a craft beer or a glass of wine from the well-chosen list featuring mostly California vintners. Appetizers include a daily harvest of beets with blood orange wheels and Swedish meatballs with goat cheese sour cream, while the entrée menu spotlights wild game, seafood and steaks and chops, many of which feature ingredients plucked from the restaurant's on-site garden. We recommend the sweet and savory apple-stuffed pork chop or the tender bone-in rib-eye steak. Chef Slay hosts winemaker dining events and Sunday night chicken dinners.
