Parmys Persian Fusion Restaurant Review

: Persian food hasn’t really taken off in New York City, which is a shame, as it’s a complex, diverse, and deeply satisfying cuisine. Parmys, an East Village Persian eatery that opened in autumn 2013, hopes to change that. Flame-grilled kebabs and stews are a focus, and the marinated sirloin kebab comes out warm and sizzling; the non-red meat eater will devour the Cornish hen kebab, which has a hint of lemon and saffron. But don’t skip the stews: the khoresh fesenjan is loaded with chicken, walnuts, pomegranate and sweet potatoes.
