| The restaurant’s location may be on busy, touristy International Drive, but this friendly little place serves authentic Indian cuisine that is worth the trek. You might want to start with vegetable pakore (fried vegetable fritters) or the irresistible papad (thin and crispy cracker-like flatbreads). The owner is on hand most evenings, and his gracious staff will help you with selections of lamb, chicken, seafood or vegetarian creations. Specialties include lamb vindaloo, marinated in vinegar and cooked in traditional Goan sauce with cubed potatoes; fish tikka cooked in a traditional clay tandoor oven; and chan masala Punjabi, chickpeas in spicy sauce. The cool raita, with minced cucumber, yogurt and spices, is the perfect accompaniment to cool down spicy choices. A modest selection of beer and wine is offered. |
