Passerini Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant & décor: In a convivial yet nondescript setting, chef Giovanni Passerini caters to a clientele of foodies. The dining room is decked out in white and brown shades, and there’s an open kitchen plus a bar near the entrance. Seating approximately 60 people, the place can be quite noisy when crowded for dinner.

Likes: The authentic Italian fare; the organic wines.
Dislikes: The noisy atmosphere due to the packed dining room.

Food & Drinks: The former chef of Rino prepares authentic Italian fare, with finely balanced tastes and a hint of sophistication. For dinner, treat yourself with one of the signature dishes, the ceps enhanced with hazelnut sabayon and peach. Then try the linguine with cockles and ’nduja sausage, astutely seasoned with paprika and bell pepper juice. Dessert is a tad disappointing, overloaded with flavors, a poached pear with jasmine, caramelized pecan nuts, bread pudding and milk and ginger ice cream. Smiling staff is in charge of the service. Interesting choice of organic wines.
