Pastiche Restaurant Review: Every neighborhood should have a place like Pastiche. With its Southwestern-influenced décor, an eclectic menu and a well-balanced and reasonably priced wine list, it's both sophisticated and homey. We always order the fried avocado with its choice of two dipping sauces; the mushroom soup is a knockout, too. Pastas zigzag from classic mac ‘n’ cheese to the voodoo Cajun pasta that blends chicken, andouille and shrimp in a tongue tingling sauce. The Greek-marinated chicken is aromatic and juicy. Save room for dessert, though, because the choices are always delightful. The wine list is long, and you can pay a visit to the adjacent wine store for plenty of additional choices. |
