Patricia's Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant & décor: Patricia’s is a Bronx tale of pasta, pizza and genuine Italian hospitality. Originally under the purview of Italian chef Alessandro Borgognone, notable for opening Sushi Nakazawa in Greenwich Village, Patricia’s sits in an unassuming storefront in the very Italian Morris Park section of the Bronx. Inside, however, the warm and inviting space lets you know that you’re part of an elegant, convivial Italian evening. Brick walls, crystal chandeliers and white tablecloths add to the ambience. Despite its large size, the restaurant seems intimate with its nooks and table arrangements and the accommodating servers add to the feeling.
Likes: Despite the restaurant’s large size, you’re still treated like a VIP. Ask for a table in one of the corners for a bit more intimacy.
Dislikes: Public transportation is a fair walk from the restaurant, so you’ll need to reserve a taxi to get here or plan to drive.
Food & Drinks: Choose from the list of classic Italian dishes like vongole oreganata, osso buco and veal scaloppini, or the extensive pizza menu. Or try some of the more ingredient-driven, seasonal choices such as truffle-laced mushroom soup or cacio e pere ravioli. An expansive wine list skews Italian, and the house Chianti is the perfect by-the-glass pick. Dessert and espresso are served with a bottle of anisette, complimentary.
