 Located mid-key on the bay side of Longboat Key, this intimate little restaurant shows an independent spirit and an eye for the unusual. The kitchen experiments with an East-West fusion style that somehow never seems precious or contrived. Pattigeorge’s has been around since 1998, making it an old-timer on the island. The dining room is comfortable but upscale and the Gulf of Mexico views are nice---still, the main attraction comes on plates: the daily menu has included crackling five-spice calamari with orange blossom honey-mustard, Thai green curry red snapper filet, and maybe a hoisin grilled duck pizza.
