| This Montrose-area urban deli bathed in natural light and contemporary art serves up excellent sandwiches---but don't let that prevent you from exploring all the other wonderful aspects of this menu. Among our favorites are the grilled shrimp BLT, a successful twist on an old standard; the pork tenderloin with Cajun mustard; and the vegetarian K.C. Special with mozzarella, roasted tomato, sprouts, avocado and pesto mayo. If you ever get past the sandwiches, you will find some fine salads, one even named the Big Salad, as well as rich, comforting pastas. Among the nightly dinner specials is a very affordable osso buco. For dessert, go to the glass case and pick out a moist cream cheese brownie or one of Kathy's famous shortbread cookies. Kids love the fun shapes and colorful icing. |
