THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Paul's Restaurant Review:
Owner Paul Lloyd, once of Café Bizou and formerly owner of two San Fernando Valley restaurants bearing his name, has taken his winning formula to the burgeoning Conejo Valley. With his trademark $1 soup or salad with any main course, $2 corkage fee and all entrée prices safely under $20, Paul's represents an incredible value. A spacious, casually elegant dining room and solid cooking from partner-chef Laurent Baillon add to the appeal. Among starters, diners may opt for chicken or lobster ravioli, Caesar salad or coconut shrimp with peanut sauce. Entrées include duck breast in a raspberry-wine sauce, grilled sea bass with dill sauce and filet mignon in port wine reduction. A potent chocolate terrine and apple tart are among an array of satisfying finales.
