 The Pearl Restaurant Restaurant Review: Dinner at The Pearl is a scene, as in fashionable, hip and reminiscent of something one might encounter in L.A. The tables are situated around the swimming pool and in front of a large, elevated movie screen (check out the Dive-In Theater theme night every Wednesday). The Pearl's motto, “Down to earth, up with style,” is apt: the design is sleek, yet the staff is gracious and fun. Starters include blue cheese-stuffed bacon-wrapped dates and cornmeal calamari. For large plates, there's a harissa-rubbed pork chop with pickled peaches or ginger-braised short ribs with duck fat mashers. Enjoy creative handcrafted cocktails like peppercorn-infused tequila with prickly pear purée in a cabana or by the pool. The Pearl stands out as one of Point Loma's most chill spots. |
