 Pera SoHo Restaurant Review: The chic, sexy interior of this SoHo restaurant complements the elevated takes on eastern Mediterranean fare that emerge from the kitchen. Start off with the unique grape leaf chips (served with hummus and/or smoked eggplant dip) or the fried white anchovies with olives and lemon lending a nice balance of salty and citrus. The sliced sirloin shashlik is fork tender and the signature “Adana” lamb roll has layers of flavors thanks to the infusion of Turkish spices, onion, parsley and sumac. For something lighter, try the pistachio-encrusted snapper in a saffron broth. The wine list is a good one, offering various bottles (and glasses) from around the Mediterranean. |
