Petite Chou Bistro & Champagne Bar Restaurant Review: Petite Chou Bistro & Champagne Bar re-created itself after flood waters forced the café to close for several months. The reincarnated bistro has expanded its menu and Champagne bar with more French flavors and more locally grown ingredients. While the breakfast and lunch line-ups still feature omelets and house-made soups, it's the dinner dishes that bring diners to the Broad Ripple restaurant from across the city. Favorites include chicken paillard, coq au vin and fresh seafood like pan-seared trout with baked beets. Among the meatless entrées, go for the lentil napoleon, a lentil cake with sautéed greens and goat cheese tzatziki. Regulars arrive early to enjoy a Champagne cocktail of Prosecco with house-made peach purée at the spiffy bar. Then again, you could always arrive late into the evening for a flute of Champagne and a fresh berry crêpe drizzled with crème anglaise. |
