Petra Greek Restaurant Review: Located on a busy midtown block, Petra Greek is popular with the lunchtime and late-night crowds for its quality food and reasonable prices. Unlike other restaurants in the neighborhood, Petra is utilitarian; people come here to eat, not to socialize. Diners order at the counter and seat themselves, a troublesome feat during the busy lunch hour but worth the battle. The menu features traditional Greek dishes with a few American plates thrown in. Starters include classics like stuffed grape leaves and hummus, while mains include gyros, pita sandwiches and several burgers. Plates include souvlaki, spanakopita, lamb chops and sausage. Petra also features several Greek wines and beer, and for dessert, the requisite baklava. |
