Cafe Loup Restaurant Review:


Exposed-brick walls hung with museum-quality photos and a long, busy bar inhabit the large dining room. Bistro fare is piled on the plate rather than sculpted, and the kitchen isn’t stingy with vegetables and other sides. Consider the roasted Stone Church Farm French heirloom duckling with sautéed Granny Smith apples, and a grilled marinated skirt steak served with pommes frites, house vegetables and caramelized shallot glaze. Snails baked in green garlic butter and capped with hollandaise sauce, and a salad combining arugula, frisée and baby lettuces tossed in a roasted pine nuts and watercress dressing are fine starters. The international wine list offers plenty of bottles in the mid-twenties.
