THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Crooked Tree Restaurant Review:

This diminutive, rustically clad eatery on a leafy stretch of St. Mark’s Place in the East Village is mostly known for the varieties of crêpes that are served: there are versions stuffed with spinach and goat cheese; Brie, arugula and tomato; and mushrooms and prosciutto. There are sweet crêpes, of course, filled with peanut butter and jam as well as some more adventurous types, like Nutella, almonds and bacon. All of which are well worth a pit stop. But it’s the non-crêpe items on the menu that stand out too: beef sliders topped with melted Brie, big salads and thick sandwiches. If you’re in the mood for that French “pancake,” as they’re sometimes called, then fine; but don’t be afraid to think outside the crêpe.
