Mac's Speed Shop Restaurant Review:

Bikers, families and barbecue lovers alike fill Mac’s Speed Shop. High-top tables and picnic-style seating dominate the industrial interior, but on a nice day, opt for one of the coveted spaces on the sprawling patio. Start with Tabasco fried pickles, house-made pimiento cheese or a deviled egg plate, old-school style. Dry-rubbed St. Louis ribs are slow-smoked for six hours and finished on the grill. We also suggest the tender beef brisket or the smoked beer-can chicken. Large combo plates supply a taste of the works in one meal. For a twist, try something on the “Mexicue” list --- pulled pork- or smoked chicken-filled tacos, quesadillas and more. Drink a cold one from Mac's beer menu, perhaps hailing from North Carolina's Big Boss Brewing Company. Bread pudding in whiskey sauce with vanilla ice cream doesn’t disappoint for dessert, if your appetite can handle it. Parking can prove tricky during busier hours, so street parking behind the restaurant might be necessary. Other locations.
