Oak Restaurant Review:


Oak offers contemporary dishes within an open and airy space in the Design District. Begin with beef tartare made with egg yolk mousse, tarragon and black olive, or pork belly with crispy rice, kumquat and soy-honey. Main dishes parade Akaushi sirloin, swordfish and scallops served with grapefruit, chorizo, farro and hollandaise. For the busy lunchtime crowd, there’s a power lunch with a choice of salad and sandwich. The wine list includes selections by the glass with various choices also available by the bottle. Meanwhile, expect signature and classic cocktails. While John Tesar helms the savory side of the kitchen, desserts have included chocolate espresso sponge cake.
