Pastina Restaurant Review:

This area of Westwood Boulevard has been nicknamed Little Tehran for its wealth of Persian restaurants, so this understated trattoria --- with its reasonable prices and friendly service --- is notable. Starters are highlighted by the spirited Caesar salad and breaded grilled scampi. We enjoy the pastas, especially the linguine puttanesca and the spaghetti with Cognac-flambéed shrimp with shallots and capers. Of the entrées, the veal scaloppine is our favorite, a tender cutlet topped with eggplant, prosciutto, mozzarella and a white wine sauce. At dinner, they serve thin-crust pizzas. Pizza Romana is brushed with tomato sauce and features prosciutto and mushrooms. The wine list offers some reasonably priced finds.
