Reno Restaurant Review:

The wood-fired pizzas, pastas and unusual, crusty hand-wrought bagels from this casual, cash-only spot come courtesy of the Telegraph crew (Johnny Anderes and Katie Wyer, the chef and pastry chef of Telegraph, to be exact). And they were an instant hit, especially the bagels, which were adapted from Montreal-style creations. In the morning, a coffee shop feel pervades; come evening, things get more full-service, though the place is always chill. Get the spaghetti with simple, sunny roasted San Marzano sauce or the rigatoni carbonara, a hefty number with pancetta guanciale, bone marrow and yolk, along with generous helpings of Parmesan and cracked black pepper. Shaved apple-kohlrabi salad with marinated manchego in apple cider vinaigrette is a welcome detour. The wood-oven apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream and a cup of Stumptown Coffee ensures a good finale. The cocktail program is built from artisanal spirits. Craft wine and beer completes the experience.
