Big plates of pasta keep diners coming back to this casual chain restaurant, a fine option for Italian comfort food. Families are welcome in the noisy dining room, where crayons and paper-topped tables keep the little ones happy (there’s wine for mom and dad). Start with a handful of Italian tapas, such as oven-fried artichoke hearts, goat-cheese-stuffed peppadew peppers and baked prosciutto and mozzarella. Brick-oven pizzas arrive hot and crisp; our favorite has shrimp, smoked mozzarella and pancetta. A selection of steaks, seafood and chicken dishes rounds out the extensive menu. A lite menu offers entrées under 600 calories. For a light dessert, try the lemon passion---citrus cake with lemon curd and whipped cream; for decadence, go for the Ghirardelli chocolate cake. If you prefer to indulge in carbs in the privacy of your own kitchen, call ahead and pick up curbside.
