Solera Restaurant Review:

This upscale Spanish restaurant oozes country civility with soft lighting, terra-cotta tile floors, and a garden room with wood-beamed ceiling. Well-attended and noisy when full, there are a variety of prix-fixe tasting dinners with or without paired wines all the way to a seven-course feast. There are tapas to nibble at the bar or nosh as a small appetizer at the table. Almonds and olives initiate dining, perhaps with a flinty, chilled fino sherry. There are paellas, of course: the savory shellfish is preferable to the rather bland vegetable medley. The salmon with sorrel emulsion, artichoke and salmon caviar, and the pork tenderloin and lobster with red cabbage are also good options. Solera's attentive servers showcase loads of ripe and ready Spanish cheeses, as well as information on the large and varied list of Spanish wines.
