Tavern in the Village Restaurant Review:

With stone walls, an inviting fireplace and rustic artwork, Tavern in the Village resembles a ski lodge in Colorado, but the friendly owner and staff quickly make it clear you're still in Kansas. It's a relaxing environment, ideal for celebrating with friends or an intimate dinner for two. The calamari appetizer has bites of fried banana peppers in the mix and is served with a chipotle aïoli. Asian tuna salad is another appealing taste arrangement with napa cabbage, mango, edamame, avocado, red pepper, sesame citrus vinaigrette, toasted almonds and wonton strips. For dessert, indulge in the cinnamon sugarcoated donuts, made-to-order little pillows accompanied by a vanilla custard dipping sauce; or the peach cobbler, a cake baked around cinnamon peaches and topped with vanilla ice cream and a caramel drizzle. Happy hour just got a little happier thanks to an expanded menu of affordable eats.
