Tempo Restaurant Review:

The main drag in Waltham is known for its barbecue joints, wine bars and trattorias, but Tempo is a nice little American bistro that serves up contemporary fare to stylish suburbanites. The menu incorporates everything from turkey bolognese and Portuguese fisherman’s stew to American favorites like roasted organic Statler chicken and a steak du jour. Flash fried Cotuit oysters are served with cherry pepper aïoli while chicken and vegetable lettuce wraps are accompanied by a peanut dipping sauce. A major attraction is the "Seven Before Seven" menu, which draws local professionals seeking inexpensive appetizers (think Philly steak and cheese spring rolls and Caribbean spiced chicken tenders) at happy hour. Desserts, meanwhile, cover all the bases with warm peach pie, ice cream sundaes, sorbets and cheesecake.
