Teresa's Restaurant Review:

This Polish diner in Brooklyn Heights has been offering authentic Central European dishes for decades and the crowds still pack the place in search of filling food at good prices. Sure, the lighting is a bit harsh, but the friendly servers make up for it, quickly delivering heaping dishes to a large crowd of families and students. Bring an appetite: even a half-order of the crisp, garlicky potato pancakes is enough to satisfy most patrons, especially when combined with a cup of the creamy mushroom barley soup. If you haven’t seen food for a few days, venture further into the menu with the “Polish platter,” which contains smoky kielbasa, cabbage stuffed with meat, potato pierogies and sauerkraut. Brunch is equally filling; the orange-ricotta pancakes burst with cheese and the flavor of citrus. The cheese blintzes arrive under a blizzard of powdered sugar. It’s not the healthiest way to start the day, but it’s fine for a meal that won’t wreck your budget and will bring a smile to your face.
