Tokio Pub Restaurant Review:

This Lettuce Entertain You venture, a Shaw’s Crab House adjunct in Schaumburg, is decidedly different than the offerings around town, its intimate dining room decked in concrete floors, burlap walls and copper seating at wood tables. The tunes are a break from the norm, too: they’re hip and rocking. Meanwhile, the all-day, Asian-tinged, global menu of small plates is far better than you’d expect from a bar. Fried-crispy planks of rice topped with tuna are tasty little bites. The same is true of the tender, crispy calamari, which arrives with addictive cilantro-lime vinaigrette. But in getting a flight of tacos --- including the hoisin-sauced duck with pickled cucumbers --- you won’t miss. Unless you’re a fan of heat, watch out for the sriracha-saturated “angry shrimp"; if you’re a fan of flames, though, do a beeline. Of course, creative cocktails play more than a supporting role --- try the pink-hued, gin-backed Blushing Geisha, garnished with a shiso leaf. For dessert, nothing but the bag of donut-like, chocolate-filled beignets will do.
