THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW A PRIVATE EVENT SPACE Pi Restaurant Review:
Owner Tony Gioutsos, who also runs the nearby il Posto Ristorante, named this spot to honor his Greek heritage---not to mention the pizzas that are part of the region’s most eclectic menus. Dining here is like taking a gastronomic tour of Europe. The décor is in shades of white, from the wispy Hellenic floor-to-ceiling drapes to the tablecloths, walls and square place settings. Sit before the wood-fired brick oven where thin-crust pizzas bubble and enjoy tapas-like camarones a la catalana, shrimp rolled in potato strings with chipotle sauce. We’re also partial to the mejillones, mussels in a Parmesan, parsley and garlic crust; veal scaloppine with artichoke hearts and fresh mint; and the fagottini di Dama, vegetarian stuffed pasta in a creamy mushroom sauce. Tiramisu is an appropriate finisher.
