Pied a Terre Restaurant Review:


Founded in 1991, Pied à Terre remains supremely stylish. It’s a small, intimate venue so tables are close together, but you can forgive the odd disadvantage. Owner David Moore runs the front of house and the team is as formidable as ever. Executive chef Asimakis Chaniotis presents French cuisine that also references his Greek heritage, as in eggs Kayianna with Cornish pickled mackerel and breakfast radishes. The meal might continue with lemon sole with British peas, asparagus, seaweed, truffle, rose and harissa, or spring lamb with potatoes, courgette, rosemary and "Ferrero Rocher." Vegan menus are also available. Desserts get the same careful treatment. Cheese fans will be delighted with a topnotch cheese board. The wine list deserves serious consideration and there is plenty of good advice on food and wine matching; the list includes classics and more unusual selections.
