Pierre Garden Restaurant Restaurant Review: When Pierre Garden took over the space that once housed a rowdy Mexican cantina, the vibe became sophisticated and French. Over time, Mediterranean specialties popular with Glendale’s large Armenian population have come to share the menu with Gallic classics. Begin with French onion soup, a jar of duck rillettes, or escargots with fennel confit crowned with delicate puff pastry. For entrées, you’ll find traditional bistro dishes like coq au vin or steak au poivre, but also chicken kebabs. It’s a very versatile menu served in a sparingly decorated dining room with white linen-clad tables. For dessert, you’ll find a trio of crème brûlées or seasonal fruit tarts. The wine list is not exhaustive, but offers bottles from many regions of France, as well as California, at appealing prices. |
