 Pink's has been slinging ripe, bursting-with-flavor beef hot dogs into fresh buns for the hordes of hungry folks who stroll up to its takeout windows longer than almost anyone can remember (more than 70 years). And chances are your favorite megastars ate here when they were younger and new in Tinsel Town, and many continue to drop by in their limousines whenever a craving hits. Orson Welles still holds the record of 18 dogs in a single seating, but one should be enough for an average appetite. We think your first bite into one of the franks, especially when covered with the famous homemade chile, will make you feel like a (well-fed) star, too. Unlike many iconic fast-food joints, the whimsical menu at Pink’s is surprisingly extensive, featuring the likes of the Three Dog Night (three dogs wrapped in a tortilla with bacon, chili and onions) and a ten-inch dog topped with cheese, guacamole, jalapeño and tortilla chips, named after customer and L.A. Philharmonic conductor Gustavo Dudamel.
