Piperno Restaurant Review:
Located in the historic Jewish Ghetto, Piperno pays tribute to the neighborhood's rich heritage with old-world style. In the summer, the outdoor seating in the tiny piazza is the ideal setting to indulge in a Roman fantasy. Though not kosher, Piperno serves Roman-Jewish cuisine and is especially well known for its delicately fried starters, particularly the carciofi alla giudia, a whole artichoke. Also available are fish specialties and decent meat dishes, and wine to pair with any option. For dessert, try the palle di nonno, fried chocolate-studded rounds of ricotta.
