Pirate’s Dinner Adventure Restaurant Review: The action-packed show revolves around a 46-foot-long replica of an eighteenth-century Spanish galleon “sailing” on the 300,000-gallon indoor lagoon. The rowdy, kid-pleasing evening is complete with cannon blasts, pyrotechnics and plenty of opportunities for interacting with the pirates---150 audience members are chosen each show to participate in the adventure. And like most dinner shows, it’s more about the entertainment than the food. Arrive early to nibble on a buffet of appetizers and to take pictures with the pirates. Dinner never varies: everyone gets a simple green salad or creamy vegetable soup, and a choice between a chicken leg quarter or pork tenderloin with Caribbean rice and potatoes. (Kids can choose chicken fingers.) There’s apple cobbler à la mode or a changing specialty for dessert. Vegetarian options are available if you ask. In true buccaneer spirit, two rounds of beer or sodas are free. |
