Pizza Rock Restaurant Review: This rock-and-roll themed pizza joint may seem a bit gimmicky at first --- dive bar-esque décor, carefully graffitied bathroom walls and pizza dough tossing performances make up the atmosphere --- but it’s a gimmick that works. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of gourmet pies with every conceivable topping, all baked in a wood-burning oven imported from Italy. Starters include honey pancetta fries and fried string beans, while pizzas run the gamut from the traditional margherita, sausage or pepperoni to potato and chorizo, wild mushroom and truffle, and Gorgonzola, sweet fig preserve and prosciutto. Other options include salads, pastas and sandwiches, and an extensive selection of imported beers and wines. |
