THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pizzeria Bianco Restaurant Review:

Even before chef Chris Bianco opened the doors to his popular pizzeria in downtown Tucson, people were eager with anticipation. The crust, baked in a huge wood-burning oven that dominates the tiny dining room, is bubbly and beautifully charred; the tomato sauce is packed with flavor; and the toppings are judiciously applied. A simple margherita has just the right amount of that tasty sauce, house-made mozzarella and small leaves of fresh basil. Other toppings include fennel-specked sausage, American prosciutto or wood-roasted mushrooms. Starters and salads are few and far between, but there's a daily market list with specials --- and the seasonal market salad comes with house-baked bread that's crusty, chewy and light and matched with olive oil and a savory tapenade for dipping. Desserts change often, and the wine list is a blend of whites, reds and bubbles, all reasonably priced.
