PJ's Coffee & Tea Co. Restaurant Review:
This Tulane University PJ’s outpost is never quiet or dull. Students consider this their all-day caffeine oasis, a sentiment that has much to do with the fact that the beans are transported straight up the Mississippi River and roasted in a facility near Bourbon Street. PJ’s introduced New Orleans to the modern-day coffeehouse with a wide range of beans, roasts and flavor enhancements. On a sultry summer day, the Viennese blend iced coffee, with a splash of Melipone vanilla, takes the edge off the heat. The chain has thrived in a dozen or more franchised locations throughout the city, each with its own personality but each carrying the full roster of PJ's selections.
