THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Planet Hollywood Restaurant Review:
Sal Mineo’s chimp costume from The Planet of the Apes, Oliver Hardy’s pants, James Mason’s costume from Prisoner of Zenda: this eatery is full of movie memorabilia. The setting itself is cinematic in its excess track lights, video screens, zebra-striped walls, leopard-skin carpet, tiger-striped booths. Essentially Planet Hollywood is a restaurant for kids---and the best food is the kind kids like, sweet drinks, french fries, chicken tenders, club sandwiches, pizza (not the burgers, however). So by all means take the children to eat here. Although it’s slightly pricey for kid food, it’s not that pricey, and the staff is wonderful with children. Best bet for adult food: We’d go for the butter pecan rum cake with caramel sauce ourselves.
