Plant Love House Restaurant Review

: This Elmhurst restaurant is worth the trek if you don’t live in the neighborhood. Its name may make it sound more like a hippie vegetarian place, but Plant Love House is neither. It offers spicy, belly-warming homemade Thai food. The short menu can be adventurous --- pork blood soup is for culinary daredevils --- and everything is under $10. Slow-cooked pork ribs are rendered as tender as possible. Pepper- and garlic-laced pork tantalizes the taste buds, and the crab-topped egg noodles are good enough to warrant a second order. Dessert is simple: coconut ice cream. However, with savory stuff like this, you might just want to fill up on more spicy papaya salad or pork dishes. There’s no alcohol here, but if you ask nicely they often allow BYOB.
