Polpo Restaurant Review: Polpo's intimate dining room has soft lighting, white tablecloths, warm wood tones and a buffet table loaded with wines, cheeses and floral centerpieces. Overhanging foliage, stone façades and Doric columns add to the charm. A glass-enclosed space on the second floor allows for year-round dining with a view; a charming piano bar with nightly entertainment and al fresco seating in season make the restaurant versatile. The menu features traditional Italian favorites: penne vodka della casa comes with a tangy vodka sauce, spinach and sausage while the ravioli tartufati offers a creamy truffle sauce and shiitake mushrooms. On the meatier side, standout include the veal medallions paired with baby artichokes and Parmigiano Reggiano in a white wine sauce, and the tender roast chicken with crispy skin, marinated in garlic and rosemary. Finish with berries soaked in Grand Marnier and served with vanilla ice cream, or perhaps the homemade apple pie à la mode. A wine list featuring Italian regional bottles complements the menu.
