Polpo Restaurant Review: Polpo’s ambience draws from its intimate dining room with soft lighting, white tablecloths and warm wood tones. Overhanging foliage, stone façades and Doric columns round out the elegant setting. A glass-enclosed space on the second floor allows for year-round dining with a view; a piano bar with nightly entertainment and al fresco seating in season make the restaurant versatile. The menu features traditional Italian favorites: go classic and refreshing for starters with a burrata caprese, slices of red and yellow beefsteak tomatoes dusted with black summer truffle; and prosciutto di Parma with seasonal fruit. On the meatier side, standouts include a roast double-cut veal chop; thick and tender veal rib chop seasoned with truffle and sage; or an oven-roasted pork chop with cherry peppers, garlic and rosemary. Finish with berries soaked in Grand Marnier and served with vanilla ice cream, or perhaps the homemade apple pie à la mode. A wine list featuring Italian regional bottles complements the menu.
