POP Kitchen + Bar Restaurant Review

: Tucked into a corner of Frank Gehry’s sprawling multidimensional building EMP (Experience Music Project), POP, part of the Wolfgang Puck catering empire, is a welcome destination for lunch, early dinner or happy hour. The simple menu is composed with locally sourced ingredients resulting in well-prepared contemporary American fare. The house meatball sandwich is topped with ricotta and tomato basil sauce; candied cashews and crispy wontons add a nice crunch to the Chinese chicken salad; and the house burger arrives with smoked bacon, cheddar and balsamic onion jam. Happy hour specials feature Parmesan-garlic fries, hot wings and fried pickles. Favorite signature cocktails range from the Fiesta Cosmo to a Caribbean Kamikaze with rum and fresh tropical notes; a selection of seasonal microbrews is available, too. Kids have their own menu starring fruit and a small drink. On sunny days, the patio comes with front row views of the Space Needle.
