The Porch Restaurant Review:

The Porch typifies Dallas with lots of tablehopping, people-watching and unusual menu items, all served in a casual, faux-funky tavern. The over-the-top Stodg burger, named after a local, is a bombshell of beef, fried egg and duck foie gras piled with crisp onions and tomatoes, which makes for a decadent mess of a sandwich. Meanwhile, the braised short rib stroganoff with brown butter Parmesan noodles is a tried-and-true comfort food experience. But the house-made pâté --- a creamy chicken and foie gras number that somehow manages to be earthy and ethereal at the same time --- touts the menu's flair. We also recommend the house-ground Scottish salmon burger, as well as the jalapeño cornbread. Portions are huge, but save a spot for dessert, namely the gooey butter cake.
