Portalis Restaurant Review: Tucked into one of Ballard’s historic buildings, Portalis wine bar is known for its happy hour special --- buy one glass, and pay half-price for the next. The romantic, brick-walled space is ideal for enjoying wines by the glass or sharing a bottle from the extensive wine list. There should be a varietal to please every palate, and the food is equally wine-oriented with a least one hot entrée offered daily. Charcuterie plates feature a classic house-made pâté, plus soups and salads. The on-site wine shop sells bottles from the wine list. |
