| Healthful, yet tasty, dining is the keyword at this restaurant, which occupies a cozy and attractive restored plantation-style house on the outskirts of Hanalei. The menu focuses on vegetarian entrées, as well as fresh fish, and offers several gluten-free choices. All of the food served is made primarily with local, organic ingredients, and uses no meat, poultry or chemical additives. The taro fritters and wasabi-crusted ahi are two winners, as is the seafood sorrento, a seafood pasta tossed with goat cheese and braised greens in a light Chardonnay sauce. And even though the pastry chef uses no refined sugar, the crème brûlée and warm chocolate soufflé, along with other desserts, are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. |
