Pour Kitchen + Bar Restaurant Review:

Two bars grace the double bay interior of this Brookhaven wine bar: one lies alongside a space that's popular for birthdays and similar gatherings while the other fleshes out the adjacent dining room. Low lighting and lots of surface texture on walls lend a romantic glow. A wine storage unit displaying some of the inventory fills a long wall in that area. It all looks promising, but the wine list disappoints, as it offers little that's not routinely available, and some choices are ordinary. Friendly staff is a bit more wine knowledgeable than were previous servers. Flights may be the best way to explore the skimpy list to taste a variety of options with the food. Decent glassware and proper serving temperature support the wines. Small plates are well prepared; however, beware of flavors such as harissa that are tricky to pair with wine. The crab cake is good with an Italian rosato. Fig-and-prosciutto flatbread does well with a Tempranillo from Toro, where it's known as "tinta de Toro." Chicken scaloppine is white wine friendly, but the accompanying roasted Brussels sprouts, while tasty, are not. Desserts include a chocolate mousse piled in a martini glass, but, inexplicably, no dessert wines are available.
