Pour Bistro Restaurant Review

: Pour's two-part facility opens to a bar area that is popular for birthdays and similar gatherings. Step down into the adjacent dining room for a quieter space. Low lighting and lots of surface texture on walls lend a romantic glow. The wine list disappoints, as it offers little that's not routinely available at the grocery store and provides no vintage or other producer information. Friendly staff doesn't know the vintages and hasn't tasted most of the wines. At $10-$14 per glass, prices are not cheap. Whites are served too cold and reds too warm, but glassware is decent. Small plates are well prepared; however, beware flavors such as harissa that are tricky to pair with wine. Scallops were tasty and perfectly cooked, and the crab cake does well with the Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay. Lamb lollipops managed to remain juicy although they were overcooked. The accompanying apple/carrot/mint raita is a good idea that needs refinement. Desserts are made in-house, but our cheesecake selection was way too sweet for the Sauternes we chose, so it had the predictable effect of drying out the lovely wine.
