THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Prego Ristorante Restaurant Review:
Although part of a California-based chain of somewhat Tuscan-style Italian restaurants, this handsome, villa-like establishment in busy Mission Valley has managed to avoid the trappings of a chain eatery. The stylish Italian menu includes spaghetti carbonara and the grilled specialty of luganega sausage with polenta and sautéed rapini. The menu is vast, and options range from attractive antipasti of the day to substantial salads (we admire the greens with duck breast and goat cheese), sophisticated pizzas, well-made pastas and grilled and rotisserie-cooked meats and poultry. The restaurant can be noisy, especially at lunch, when a well-dressed business crowd comes in for dining and deal-making.
