THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW A PRIVATE EVENT SPACE Press Street Station Restaurant Review:

New Orleans Center for Creative Arts is a high school-level institution for young people who have already set their sights on a career in the arts, including the culinary arts. The school has its own restaurant, which will sometimes feature dishes created by those very students. Located on the Bywater campus, it occupies one of the several renovated industrial buildings that comprise the school. Exposed wood beams, industrial lighting, cement flooring and minimalistic décor contribute to the ambience. The menu changes frequently, but typical offerings are roasted eggplant chili, pork brisket, chicken tostones, and coconut pancakes with mango syrup. No alcohol is served, but you may bring your own for a small corkage fee. Students who will contribute menu recipes are trained by renowned local chefs including Frank Brigtsen (Brigtsen's) and Emeril Lagasse (Emeril's, NOLA, Emeril's Delmonico). If you thought there were no original ideas left in the restaurant business, Press Street Station begs to differ.
