Prime Cut Cafe Restaurant Review: A casual yet sophisticated interior pairs wood floors and dark wood furniture with striped, silk-like brocade on banquettes and modern lighting. The menu seems rather simple until the food arrives, then it’s evident that each dish has a certain flair. Start with the cheese fondue, creamy and salty, with its head of roasted garlic that gets squeezed into the pot. For a healthier option, we like the Fuji apple salad with frisée, candied pecans and blue cheese. The lunch menu is filled with gourmet burgers, sandwiches and unusual entrée salads, such as the chipotle ranch-topped filet mignon salad that comes with fire-roasted pepper, corn and jícama. Dinner is a bit more formal, which is reflected appropriately in the menu with items such as slow-roasted prime rib and juicy steaks, as well as herb-roasted chicken, fettuccine with short rib ragoût, and a daily seafood selection. The wine program is innovative, with several wine flights and well-chosen international vintages available by the taste, glass or bottle. |
