Principessa Restaurant Review:
Don't be fooled by the club-like European vibe; this is a worthy dinner destination. Sleek white walls aren't overly decorative, placing the emphasis on what's on the plate and in the glass. Cocktails are mixed by the experts from Freeman's, but the wine list is thorough, too. Whatever bottle you choose, they store the information on a trusty iPad so that the next time you swing by, you can easily reorder that Montepulciano you loved. The menu trends simple and traditional: grilled bread with robiola and truffle, beef carpaccio with shaved fennel and Parmesan to start. Pastas are all standouts: cacio e pepe, orecchiette with lamb sausage and Swiss chard. Entrées follow suit, nothing inventive but all staples done well. Veal Milanese and whole grilled fish are favorites.
