| If you don’t know what a British pasty (pronounced Pass-T) is, think turnover with a very tender crust and a savory filling, traditionally of meat and vegetables. But this Vienna, Va.-based company has taken the tin miner’s treat to new levels, and fortunately for those very hungry for unusual foods, the Pure Pasty truck sells a limited menu of what the Vienna storefront offers. One bite of the classic pasty oozing its meaty filling will make you a lifelong fan. Also look for the chicken masala pasty, an Indian meal in a flaky crust, and if you are vegetarian, you will find a non-meat option. So good, so British. |
